Appointments
Your appointments are scheduled at a specific time according to the availability of specialist staff to best suit your needs and requirements.
We value your time so endeavour to run on schedule.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, we appreciate at least 48 hours notice so that we can allocate your time to other waiting patients.
Cancellation Policy
City Gardens Dental makes every effort to remind patients of up-coming appointments. Currently we send an SMS requesting confirmation four days prior to your appointment. If we have not received confirmation, a second request is sent two days before your appointment. If you still have not communicated your intentions, our staff will call you directly by phone the day before your appointment. At this point, if we cannot confirm your attendance, staff will cancel your appointment.
Patients who cancel less than 24 hours prior to their appointment, or who fail to attend, will incur a fee that will need to be paid before any future appointments can be made.
We thank you for your understanding.
Financial
We aim to provide the very best dental care and service possible. Our fees are structured to reflect the time you spend with your dentist, the complexity of your issues, as well as any procedures performed during your appointment.
Payment is required on the day of treatment, including the first examination appointment.
We have EFTPOS and Hicaps facilities available. Hicaps will allow you to claim your rebate from your health fund instantly leaving only the difference between the rebate and our fee to pay.
We accept all health funds so insured patients will need only to pay the gap fee.
Infection Control Policy
Our infection control policy and procedures follow the current guidelines. All dental instruments are either single use or sterilised before use.
You can be confident that:
- We pride ourselves in executing the highest standards of sterilisation
- You are being treated in a safe dental environment
- Our staff have been trained in infection control practices and are engaged in ongoing infection control education.
If you have any concerns about our sterilisation techniques please refer to our staff.
Privacy
Your dental record and any other information that we collect is kept strictly confidential and used only for your care. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal information at all times, and to ensure that the information is only available to authorised members of staff.
Your dental file is handled with the utmost respect for your privacy. The file will be accessed by your dentist, and when necessary, by the other staff in the practice for communicating relevant information to specialists or allied health professionals.
It may also be necessary for our staff to access your file to address the administrative requirements of running a dental practice. As a condition of their employment, all our staff are bound by strict confidentiality requirements.
Ordinarily we will not release the contents of your dental file without your consent, but there may be occasions where we will be required to release the details of your file, such as for legal disclosure as required by a court of law.
If you have any concerns about the use of your personal information, please speak to your dentist or our Practice Manager Kirsty Hibberson.
